I have a lot of chihuahua owners asking me about chiuaua clothes for their little dogs, and yes, I realize that’s not spelled properly, but whatever: people email me and ask me about not just chihuahua clothes, but “chiwawa clothes” and “chiuaua clothes” all the time, for their small canine companions, so I’m going to include everyone in this sort of mass reply. After all, why should the ability to spell limit your access to the world’s cutest chiuaua fashion out there In honor of your earnest efforts to find out more about these small dog clothes for your chiuauas, I’m going to spell it for the rest of this short Q and A article

Alight, so a question a lot of chiuaua owners have for me is whether the Chihuahua Shop ships their orders quickly. The answer is yes: once you’ve placed your order via the Chihuahua Shop and you’ve payed for the chiuaua clothing you desire for your cute little doggie, we aim to have the clothes and chiuaua accessories you order to you within four to six business days. If you live in Europe, that shipping time is even less, and the shipping time for chiuaua clothes inside of the UK is even less–usually no more than two business days.

Another question people often ask me about ordering chiuaua clothes is whether they can return their order. Again, the answer is yes, for sure. So long as you return the chiuaua fashion outfits and whatever other dog items you’ve ordered within seven days of the receipt, and it’s in mint condition so it can be resold, you can return your chihuahua’s would-be clothing to us. Under most circumstances, you will have to pay the shipping and handling costs to do so, so I really, REALLY recommend you make sure the sizes are correct before you order, but yes, we will refund your order if you send the chiuaua outfits back under those terms.

Finally, I get a lot of people who ask me when they can expect new chiuaua clothes for their small dogs to show up at the Shop. And to that, I really can’t give you concrete answers. And whenever it’s possible for me to do so, I bring these new chiuaua fashion clothes in if they meet my strict quality and value requirements that I really believe in. I’ve been seeing my chihuahua friends lately, wearing these chihuahua harness coats that have the harness loop built right into their back! They’re pretty cool, and I’m a little jealous! Mikey likes to walk me off-leash most of the time (because I’m so good!), but I’d almost volunteer to have the leash back on me if I could be sporting one of these chihuahua harness coats! Seriously, they’re super cool: they keep us chihuahuas warm while also allowing you, the owner, to maintain control of us on the walk, when we become a little excited and all-over-the-place, hehe!

Dog coats that have a harness loop have been around for a while, I’ve noticed, but these new harness vest and specialty dog coats with harness loops built in are packing more and more style for the chihuahuas and the other toy breeds, now! I would no longer feel like a test subject of some insane science project if Mikey were to dress my up with one of these and walk me–on the contrary: I’d be wearing it with pride, methinks!

I’ve been trying to clue Mikey into the fact that I want one of these harness dog coat outfits for the winter, because I get freaking COLD up here in Canada in the winter, but I still need my long walks in order to stay calm and balanced and not lose my mind! Thankfully my owner/leader/love–Mikey–knows this, but I still don’t have one of these new dog coat with harness loop outfits, and I sure do want one!

There are a lot of different types of dog sweaters for small dogs today and I just want to discuss them briefly here. If you have a chihuahua or a yorkie or a bichon frise or a maltese, or any other breed of small dog AND you live in a cooler climate, it’s almost certain that you own at least a few small dog sweaters. These smaller dogs tend to shed their body heat much quicker that bigger dog dog, and so having little sweaters for small dogs is usually necessary for keeping them comfortable when they’re hanging out with you in a cold room or when out on a walk with you in the cold. Next up are the dog hoodies for small dogs. Dog clothes patterns are becoming rather popular, I notice. Not only are people sewing their own chihuahua clothes with patterns for their little dogs, they’re also buying premade dog clothing that have patterns on them. The classic Argyle pattern dog clothing is an example, along with the houndstooth pattern and the balmoral patterns that I’m seeing on more an more dog clothes these days, both for chihuahuas and other small pups as well as bigger dogs this season. Dog apparel for small dogs is a real hobby for some today, including your truly. These chihuahua clothes and small chihuahua dog apparel outfits can make your little dog look completely over-the-top adorable, and it’s so much fun building a fashionable wardrobe of stylish small dog apparel for your little toy breed dog!

Having recently just moved up from Mexico to Canada, I am pleased to see so many little doggies wearing their fashion dog apparel for smaller dogs on the streets and in the windows of so many houses! I think that dog collars and leads have to be one of my favorite dog accessories. After the chihuahua clothes and the fancy dog bling, my chihuahuas wear their dog collars all the time, and I walk them using their matching dog leads every day! When you’re out walking your dog, you’re on display for the world, and so having fashionable dog leashes for showing off your gorgeous little chihuahua is a must as far as I’m concerned!

I’ve been paying attention to a lot of the dog leads and collars I see people using with their chihuahuas and their other little toy breeds, and it seems that after the majority of boring and bland dog leads and collars, it is chihuahuas with their designer dog collars and their fancy chihuahua leads that are ahead of the rest of the dog work in terms of style.

So many people are out, walking around these gorgeous dogs that are groomed and have these amazing coats of fur because they’re fed the premium brands of dog food, and the whole thing. Many of them even wear chihuahua clothes and other dog apparel for the larger breeds! But very, very few people have the bling collars for their dog like I see on chihuahuas with their stylish chihuahua collars. And I also don’t see many fashion dog leads that match with the collars, right now.

And it’s such a shame, I say! Here they are, these gorgeous dogs with these beautiful small dog clothes, but their owner hasn’t taking the time to find the right matching dog leads and collars to go with their outfits! I think studded dog collars are pretty freaking cool, and that’s why I’ve been working so hard to bring a few of these dog collars with studs to the Shop this week. Spiked dog collars are in the same category, really, and I see them most often around the necks of the biker dogs and the doggies perched on the front handlebars of motorcycles all the time! These punk dog collars are a definite throwback to the 80’s and that bad-ass, metal scene, and with studded small dog collars, you get to take a walk on the wild side of dog collars.

Chihuahua collars usually lean more in the category of glam and luxury, studded with crystals and very often pink in color. But these studded dog collars are much more often black leather collars with the metal studs embedded into the collar band. It is possible to find cool dog collars with studs of another, more playful color, like a light blue or a soft pink, but the studded doggie collars usually have that more classic biker look of the black leather band with the chrome metal studs.

Dog clothes are everywhere today, and whether you’re into chihuahua dog clothes or you’re more a cute dog clothes shopper, it’s these stylish dog clothes that dog owners are flocking to today. My neighbors, and all the pet owners of the little beach town I live in today is going gaga when they shop dog clothes online, and I’m lucky enough to get to see all this chihuahua clothing and these funky dog clothes on their little pets all the time!

Dog clothing does have its detractors, though, and while I think chihuahua clothing is totally fabu and that dressing up your dog in the most fashion-tastic designer dog clothes can be a lot of fun and a very good thing, not everyone feels the same. There are people who completely scoff at the very notion of dog fashion, and believe it to be cruel to dress a dog in an extra layer of fur.

Dog Clothes – Is There A Downside?

I think we have to respect their doggie clothes opinion, because not all of use have seen dog dresses and dog coats used in the same way. I know I have personally seen small dogs wearing heavy, thick dog clothes in the middle of the searing summer, when they’re out in the summer sun and the heat is bearing down on their and their small dog clothes, and that’s not at all cool in my books.

I think this goes without saying, but in terms of dog outfits, you have to use common sense with these little dog clothes, and dog clothing for all breeds of pet dogs.
