Luckily, I’ve been looking around for a few good outfits for my own teacup chihuahua foster dogs lately, and so I’m going to share with you what I found in all of my searching around.

I have three stores in mind where you can find these super small teacup chihuahua clothes for cheap and not completely empty your wallet all at once. I’ll start with the first two:

The first place I’d check out and shop if I were looking for cheap teacup chihuahua clothes would be the Dog Dug. These guys carry some seriously inexpensive clothes for the smaller dogs! A lot of their outfits are in the $10 to $20 US range, with some even for less than $10. I should tell you that I have never personally shopped at the Dog Dug before, but I know people who have, and they’ve had good experiences so far. So if you’re shopping for little dog clothes for your chihuahua on a budget, you definitely have to check this place out.

The second shop I’d check out would likely be michipet.com, who stocks a decent selection cheap-to-mid range teacup chihuahua clothes, here. They carry a few outfits for the teacup size dogs for under $20 USD, but the majority of their little chihuahua clothes fall into the $20-$30 range. And they’re definitely worth checking out. I have ordered one outfit from Michi P before and it was a good shopping experience. I know that’s not a ton of experience to go on, but they seem like a quality operation, so if you like the teacup clothes you see there, I wouldn’t have any qualms about placing an order with them.

Before I started the Chihuahua Shop, I would look around for cheap dog clothes online and in the the offline, real-world dog clothing stores to find inexpensive chihuahua clothing for my little foster dogs to keep them warm at night and to dress them up a bit to make cuter “adopt-me!” pictures. I’d search all over for these clothes, looking for clothes for dogs cheap on Google and everywhere else I could look online, and I just didn’t see very much that really spoke to that inner dog-lover-fashion-crazed person that I wanted to express through the chihuahua clothes my little dogs wore, without spending a pile of money on a little frilly dog tutu or a basic dog sweater.

In fact, I still find that when I look around online, asside from places like the LoveLongLong dog clothes store, that has cool small dog coats for relatively low prices and cheap raincoats for dogs that actually look half-decent, unlike the bulk of discount dog clothing I see at a lot of the other shops I used to buy from. They have a good store, and at the discount end of the chihuahua clothes spectrum, it’s a store I try to emulate.

It’s actually very hard to sell low cost pet clothes today, with the international customs fees and shipping costs that really make a dent in your pocket book: it’s not always easy. But at the Chihuahua Shop, we too have our share of cheap dog clothing for those looking for a more frugal approach to dog fashion. Those cool dog bandanas and other little accessories and clothes for dogs on the cheap are arriving each week, and we’re adding the new inventory to the store as fast as we can, because as much as I personally prefer the nicer chihuahua clothes, I believe dog clothing should be available to everyone, even those with only a little extra cash to pamper their little chiwawa pup with.

Wholesale Dog Clothing

If you’re really looking for a deal on your small dog’s clothing and you’re looking around for wholesale chihuahua clothes, for example, I’d recommend you check out either the Lovelonglong dog clothes store or the DogDug dog clothing store.

Both of these stores give you insanely low wholesale prices on their dog clothing if you buy within certain parameters and your shipment meets their conditions, and you can score some absolutely insane deals on cheap dog clothing. If you’re dead set on dressing up your pooch into that fashionable dog you’ve always wanted in your need to find your dog clothes wholesale priced before you can consider buying them, those two stores will be your best bet, if you ask me.

I wish I could say we have the lowest priced awesome chihuahua fashion here at our Shop, but right now, I have more of a boutique chihuahua fashion focus for the store and I’m working on finding the best, highest quality chihuahua outfits for the store right now, and the wholesale price option just isn’t possible for us right now. But again, Lovelonglong Dog Clothing is awesome in my experience, and while I haven’t tried them out personally, I have heard some good things about the DogDug, so you might want to check them out.

At the Chihuahua Shop, we do have some discount dog dresses and chihuahua clothes on sale now for the season, and they’re a steal for what you’re getting quality-wise. Clothes for dogs that are cheap are not always easy to find in any vaguely appealing form, but they are out there and you can find them if you look hard enough or you follow my advice, above. They carry smaller dog fashion just like we do here at our store that sells chihuahua apparel, but this Lovelonglong dog clothing shop sells pet clothes for a bit less money and they have different styles and specific smaller dog accessories than we carry, and so they’re definitely worth browsing. Apparently the story on getting their pet products for super cheap goes like this: if you buy at least 30 items of clothing or pet accessories or really anything at their store, your entire order will receive the wholesaler discount!

If you REALLY go bonkers or can arrange to place a mass order of Lovelonglong Dog Clothing for you and some of your friends, together, and you order 300 items or more, then you get the ultra low “reseller” prices on all the little pet items, and you save even more money on these cool cheap dog clothes.

They carry everything from T-shirts for chihuahuas and little yorkie outfits to these cute little leather jackets (pictured right) for your chihuahua, and these tiny embroidered shirts with rhinestones. They also have huge selection of dog costumes for smaller dogs. It’s actually pretty amazing when you take a look at there, just how much variety they have in their dog clothing inventory!

I mean, seriously, when was the last time you saw a little dog wearing a Chinese royal costume? Or how about a maltese trying on a denim jumpsuit over top of his little maltese clothes? I mean, good grief: how about a little chiwawa sporting a bath robe? Can you imagine how irresistibly cute that would be!?

If you’re just looking around for more standard dog accessories like a few chihuahua collars for your little long haired chihuahua or some more mainstream but still cool fashion for small doggies you have that you want to pamper and spoil a bit as a treat, Lovelonglong still carries that stuff too! They carry cheaper dog coats for small dogs, for owners who don’t feel like spending a small fortune in order to dress up Fido and keep him warm, and other great, standard style dog fashion that you’ll see in a lot of the other dogwear stores and online pet fashion boutiques right now. So in other words, you can still find your cute chihuahua sweatshirts and T-shirts for wrapping around your apple head when it’s a cool day and you want him to be as comfy as he can be!

But something I’ve learned you have to look out for when purchasing cheaper clothes for dogs is the itch factor. Sometimes you can go to buy a cheap shirt for your dog, perhaps a knit sweater of some kind that’s made of wool, and you’ll put it on your little dog and it will make her itch her like crazy. You’ll put it on your poor chihuahua and her back foot will arch up and start scratching behind the ears and along the side, and the head will be twisting and contorting so she can reach that spot! Darn it!–I…must.. just…reach…. that spot!

My joking asside, it can be a good idea to test out dog clothes for this first, before you buy them. The easiest way to do this of course to is to simply take your chihuahua with you to the pet store (or whatever breed you have) and try them before buying them. Most pet stores allow you to bring your dog in with you these days, so you can take advantage of that and bring your little chihuahua dog in with you, bring her to the isle of dog clothes, and then test out those you’re interested in. Pick the sweater or coat that you think you’d like to buy, and then test it out on her: put the clothes on her and let her wear it for a few minutes while you browse the rest of the small dog clothing, and see pay attention and observe your chihuahua to see if she’s itching at all as a result of the clothes.

Most of the time, itching never comes up and this isn’t a problem, in my experience. But I’ve just recently had an experience with my chihuahua where I bought her a cute new pink little dog parka. I put it on her and everyone was absolutely swooning over how cute it was, but then I noticed something I’ve never seen her do before in response to wearing her clothes: she started itching! It it wasn’t just like a little scratch either: I’m talking a full blown itch-o-mania! It was kind of crazy.

At the time, I was thinking my little chihuahua was having some kind of allergic reaction to the material this parka was made of, but it was weird because the parka didn’t appear to be made of anything special or different from the cheap clothes my chihuahua or any of my little dogs have worn in the past.

It was a truly bizarre moment!

So I took the clothes back to the store and returned them. And with my little dog with me, we went and tested out a few more affordable coats for little dogs. Lo and behold, after a few minutes of testing different ones, we came across yet another article of clothing that was itching her like crazy! It bore no resemblance to the pink parka I’d returned, but it was causing the same itch reaction with my poor chihuahua. Weird.

The only thing I can think of is that somewhere along the way, one of the employees accidentally dropped a few of these coats onto something like fiberglass insulation or something similarly irritating to the skin, and then those pieces of dog clothing somehow they made their way onto the store shelves. Now, I’m swinging at air here, but that’s about the only explanation that comes to mind for me. The two coats we tried out on my chihuahua dog were completely different in every sense: different material, different design, and from a different company.

Luckily, we found a few good inexpensive dog shirts for her to wear this spring, so we’re both very happy about that: her with the added cuteness she’ll be sporting, and me here with the camera ready!  Oh god, something tells me I’m turning into one of those crazy dog persons. Anyway, keep this in weird thing in mind: if your chihuahua starts itching the bejesus out of herself after you put that new chihuahua clothing on her, you may be experiencing something similar to what we went through here with these itchy cheap dog clothes, and you may consider returning them to the store like we did to try out some different shirts and sweaters instead.
